JOB DESCRIPTION:
|
Candidates
should have knowledge of Applications Architecture & Design. The role
involves documenting & reviewing software architecture and & designs,
and supporting development teams.
The Applications Architecture & Design
Analyst is part of the Systems Design and Functional Architecture team
within IT Solutions and Development Division. He is responsible for ensuring
that business requirements are aligned with system functionality and provides
technical designs for all solutions developed. He is also responsible for any
special projects, as directed by the Senior IT management team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
|
·
BSc
or Master Degree in Computer Science or Management Information System or any
related field with at least seven to ten years in a technical development
environment.
·
High
level of Arabic and English interpersonal skills and communication skills
both written and oral.

Principal
Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Review
new projects / change requests for existing projects to define different team
stakeholders participating in accomplishing this objective.
·
Creating
and maintaining SW Architecture documents using defined technical
documentation templates.
·
Guiding
SW design approach.
·
Provides
application and system functional expertise for development projects.
·
Assigns
appropriate resources to analyze business requirements and produce related
functional specification documentation
·
Produces
technical designs to facilitate the development or enhancement of
applications to fulfill business needs
·
Coordinate
with special projects (Proof of concept, Production enhancements …) for
successful completion, as defined by senior IT management.
·
Provides
consultancy services to other teams within IT & Operations Group.
·
Provides
higher-level support in response to user problems, difficulties and questions
regarding system functionality, operations, input/output, reporting and
general operational procedures for all IT applications.
·
Working
as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project,
to work on a specific project
·
Adapting
current Architecture & Design to new requirements.
·
Reacting
to problems and correcting the design as necessary.
·
Act
as 4th level production support for issues related to integration between
different systems.
·
Identifies
opportunities of improvements for existing applications.
·
Analyzing
and tuning the design performance/Investigating, analyzing and documenting design
parameters.
·
Consulting
manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop design
and maintain existing skills and knowledge.
·
Defines,
promotes and encourages the use of development best practices.
·
Communicate
with external vendor from technical prospective in project early stages as
proof of concept till the end of the project to resolve any issues.
·
Participate
in RFP & vendor evaluation.
