Job
Description: The
Senior Project Manager is responsible for defining and maintaining the project
management framework within the PMO, ensuring that this is in-line with the
overall project management framework across the IT Group. The candidate will
have extensive experience of project and program management using one or more
standard project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMI, and so on).
Arabic-speaking candidate will be preferred.
Preferred
Qualification: It
is must that the candidate should have banking domain knowledge and should have
at least 8-10 yrs of banking experience.
The
candidate must have upgraded and worked on Temenos as Project Manager.
Well-versed with T24 R10/11 upgrade version. Knowledge of Islamic banking with
reference to T24.
Skills
and Abilities: Experience
in T24/Globus is mandatory, Very good understanding of all the modules involved
( mainly Core Banking) , Deep understanding of T24 product functionality
including all core modules and private banking industry modules, Good
understanding of T24 architecture including integration capabilities,
Implementation experience and knowledge of key features of the latest versions
of T24 (v10 and v11) is preferred, Deep knowledge and understanding of private
and Islamic banking business processes, Good understanding of retail and
corporate banking business processes will be an advantage, Strong business
analysis and solution architecture skills, Strong communications skills and
recognized specialist in his core technology, Ability to lead multiple teams in
defining solutions to meet client requirements, plus very good coordination
skills and results oriented.
Takes
an important role in operational, tactical or strategic analysis of a company’s
total business in relation to used technology. They identify strategic
capabilities needed to create and sustain one or more sources of competitive
advantage. These capabilities may come in the form of process, information
technology, organization enablement, or knowledge. They identify best practices
and client performance gaps, if any. They use tools to identify, align, and
change the factors that affect performance, stability, and teaming. Responsible
for understanding and assessing a client’s business operations, identifying
issues and opportunities and recommending appropriate solutions. They ensure
proper translation of business requirements into a set of structured business
process, knowledge, technology, and organization specifications that satisfy
the client’s strategic and operational objectives.
This
job requires extensive knowledge of company business operations, unusually high
analysis capability, and a thorough understanding of the system development and
implementation process, probably gained on more than one significant business
change project.
Representative Activities: Identifies and exposes the
business opportunities and implications of re-engineering projects. Development
of business cases and performs impact analysis, thereby engaging a wide range
of stakeholders within business and IT.
Persuades
senior managers of the benefits of change in situation where there is
significant resistance, and likely disruption to business. Leads a small team
of business analysts in progressing the detail of re-engineering projects.
Works with business system colleagues to analyze the high-level information
requirements and information flows required to support better processes, and
supports business system colleagues through the development process.
